Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Economics, Management and Social Science (IJEMSS) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published work.
1. Initial Editorial Screening
-
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial check to assess the manuscript's suitability, completeness, adherence to author guidelines, and plagiarism level.
-
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements or fall outside the scope of the journal may be desk-rejected without external review.
2. Double-Blind Review
-
Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
-
The review process is double-blind, meaning both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the process.
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
-
Originality and contribution to the field
-
Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
-
Soundness of methodology and analysis
-
Clarity of presentation and structure
-
Adequacy of references and literature review
-
3. Review Outcomes
After the review process, the editorial decision will be based on reviewers’ recommendations and may fall into one of the following categories:
-
Accept without revision
-
Minor revisions required
-
Major revisions required
-
Reject
4. Revision and Resubmission
-
If revisions are required, authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers' comments.
-
Revised manuscripts must be submitted along with a response letter addressing each comment from the reviewers.
-
The revised version may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
5. Final Decision
-
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers' recommendations and overall quality of the manuscript.
-
Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to the copyediting and layout stages before publication.
6. Review Timeline
-
The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of reviewers and the complexity of the subject matter.
IJEMSS is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and fairness throughout the peer review process. We highly value the contributions of our reviewers and the integrity of the scholarly publishing process.
