Social Relations Among Youths of Different Religions to Strengthen Religious Tolerance in Talake, Ambon City

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the social relations between Muslim and Christian youth in Talake, Ambon City, in strengthening interreligious tolerance. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data regarding patterns of interfaith interaction. The findings reveal that youth involvement in joint social, cultural, and religious activities helps reduce prejudice, foster empathy, and strengthen solidarity. Equal interaction supported by positive social norms positions youth as key actors in maintaining harmony within a diverse society. This research confirms that active social relations among youth in Talake play a strategic role in promoting tolerance and social cohesion in the context of religious diversity.
